AT&T U-verse remote DVR app released for iPhone

AT&T have released a free iPhone and iPod touch application that allows U-verse subscribers control their DVR systems remotely. The app, U-verse TV Mobile Remote Access, can display program listings and full descriptions of individual shows, as well as allow users to schedule program or series recordings. It’s also possible to edit existing schedules, whether they have been initiated from the iPhone app or on the DVR itself.

ZoDDt has published two videos from the upcoming gpSPhone and psx4iPhone emulators new versions running on iPhone 3Gs. A good news for iPhone gaming. The result is shown in the video below where you can see gpSPhone running at a minimum 150 FPS and maxing out at about 225 FPS, with sound and 0 frameskip! Ultrasn0w to get iPhone 3GS unlock thanks to old hack

Thanks to an unaddressed security flaw, the iPhone Dev Team have announced that they will soon update their ultrasn0w unlocking tool to work on the iPhone 3GS. The exploit, known as 24Kpwn, was first discovered in the iPod touch 2G, and used in the redsn0w tool to jailbreak that PMP. Now, the Dev Team can use the same sort of technique as used in redsn0w to update ultrasn0w for Apple’s latest smartphone

Filed under: Games, Handsets, Apple, iPhone OS A final iPhone 3GS jailbreak hasn’t been released yet, but that isn’t stopping enterprising hackers from trying to get at all that extra horsepower, and some of the first notable hacks we’ve seen are these updated PlayStation 1 and Game Boy Advance emulator ports, which run way faster than the versions for the original and 3G. The revved up hardware in Apple’s latest is apparently capable of running either of these at 150 - 225fps with zero frameskipping, which is pretty impressive.

Yep, the “Hottest Girls” application has been yanked after just a few hours of availability, and it’s no secret why: although the app was clearly labeled and approved under iPhone OS 3.0’s app rating and parental control guidelines, naked-ladies-on-the-iPhone was quickly becoming too much news for Apple’s squeaky-clean image to bear.
